Perot Post Office

9 Queen Street, City of Hamilton, Bermuda

The Perot Post Office is named for W.B. Perot who was appointed Bermuda's first postmaster in 1821.  Because of Perot, Bermuda became only the second British colony after Mauritius to have its own postage stamps. He produced Bermuda's fist stamps in 1848; of these only 11 are know to exist today. Perot Post Office is a charming working post office, which remains little changed from Perot's time in the 1800's. You may purchase stamps, first day covers, plus transportation tokens and passes here. Open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
